I have an undying love for puff pastries! There, I said it! I think to some extent we all do though, and of course, my love of the puffs extends to these amazing Beef Patty Bites!
I came across these puffs when I had a bowl of Taco Style Beef left behind from one of our nacho nights. I tried to find a way to use the beef without having to make a “standard dish” and also have an outcome that would be fit for a small crowd. Hence, I found the pastry dough, some diced veggies and put the beef to work.
These puffs can be built up to be a side dish to any meal (by doubling the amount of stuffing) or they could remain as a scrumptious appetizer served with a dipping sauce of your choice, I personally recommend something spicy to get the taste buds in overdrive.
These puffs are the perfect cure for any pastry craving, crispy and flaky on the outside and soft and tender on the inside! The puffs, as they are, are family and taste bud friendly (hint: they’re not too spicy!). For your next gathering, give these puffs a whirl!
For this recipe, I used 1 roll of store Bought Frozen Puff Pastry Dough (you could also use pierogi style frozen dough, which created 14 individual Beef Patty Bites. It’s important to get an unflavored dough so that we can ensure our own seasonings are at the forefront of every bite. This recipe also uses previously cooked Taco Style Beef which you can also find on this website in a separate blog post!
